VETOLOGY AND VETOLOGY INNOVATIONS and its partners reserve the right to make changes to this Agreement at any time by providing such revised Agreement to Users or by publishing the revised Agreement on the VETOLOGY AND VETOLOGY INNOVATIONS and its partners Website. The revised Agreement will become effective within thirty (30) days of such publishing or provision to Users, unless Users expressly accept the revised Agreement earlier by clicking on the accept button, when applicable. The express acceptance by Users, or Users continued use of the VETOLOGY AND VETOLOGY

What information does the Software Collect?
In general, VETOLOGY AND VETOLOGY INNOVATIONS and its partners collects your pet, pet owner and User information when you provide it to us; for example, when you register for a VETOLOGY account, or when you send data for storage or service. We try to make it clear when the information you are providing is required by making an indication on the web form. We may collect information from you in the following ways, including:
- When you register for a VETOLOGY, VETOLOGY INNOVATIONS or one of our partners’ account and use the Software: In order to use the Software, you must download the software and register for an account. As part of the registration process, we ask you to provide personal information such as clinic, hospital, doctor, staff, user information, clinic or hospital street address, phone number(s), email addresses, web addresses, and other information from time to time. We also require each User setup a User ID and password, which may be considered personal information. The Software collects additional information from Users, including: their IP address, browser, and operating system and version. It also collects some information on how Users use the Software, including information about which files Users choose to share with other Users, and which of the files those Users have accessed and when. The Software may also collect the make and model number of the device the Users login from in order to optimize their experience with the Software.
- When you visit the VETOLOGY Website: We may collect personal information from you when you visit the Website. For example, if you send us an email asking a question, we will keep whatever information you provide. We also collect additional information from you when you visit the Website, including your IP Address, browser type, domain name, time/date, referring URL, landing page, and pages viewed. VETOLOGY AND VETOLOGY INNOVATIONS and its partners and its partners do not use any of this additional information to identify you personally.
In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us such as name, address, contact information, passwords and security data, and payment information.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when registering at the Sites expressing an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and services, when participating in activities on the Sites (such as posting messages in our online forums or entering competitions, contests or giveaways) or otherwise contacting us.
The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Sites, the choices you make and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect can include the following:
Name and Contact Data. We collect your first and last name, email address, postal address, phone number, and other similar contact data.
Credentials. We collect passwords, password hints, and similar security information used for authentication and account access.
Payment Data. We collect data necessary to confirm your payment if you make purchases. We use a third party service for online payment and we do not collect your payment instrument number (such as a credit card number) or the security code associated with your payment instrument. All payment data is stored by our payment processor partner and you should review its privacy policies and contact the payment processor directly to respond to your questions.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
Information automatically collected
In Short: Some information – such as IP address and/or browser and device characteristics – is collected automatically when you visit our Sites.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the Sites. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Sites and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Sites, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies.

In Short: We may collect limited data from public databases, marketing partners, and other outside sources.
We may obtain information about you from other sources, such as public databases, joint marketing partners, as well as from other third parties. Examples of the information we receive from other sources include: social media profile information; marketing leads and search results and links, including paid listings (such as sponsored links).
How do we use your information?
In Short: We process your information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and/or your consent.
We use personal information collected via our Sites for a variety of business purposes described below. We process your personal information for these purposes in reliance on our legitimate business interests ("Business Purposes"), in order to enter into or perform a contract with you ("Contractual"), with your consent ("Consent"), and/or for compliance with our legal obligations ("Legal Reasons"). We use the information we collect or receive:
- To facilitate account creation and logon process with your Consent. If you choose to link your account with us to a third party account *(such as your Google or Facebook account), we use the information you allowed us to collect from those third parties to facilitate account creation and logon process. See the section below headed " HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS " for further information.
To send you marketing and promotional communications for Business Purposes and/or with your Consent. We and/or our third party marketing partners may use the personal information you send to us for our marketing purposes, if this is in accordance with your marketing preferences. You can opt-out of our marketing emails at any time (see the " WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS " below).
Fulfill and manage your orders for Contractual reasons. We may use your information to fulfill and manage your orders, payments, returns, and exchanges made through the Sites.
Deliver targeted advertising to you for our Business Purposes and/or with your Consent. We may use your information to develop and display content and advertising (and work with third parties who do so) tailored to your interests and/or location and to measure its effectiveness.
Request Feedback for our Business Purposes. We may use your information to request feedback and to contact you about your use of our Sites.
To enable user-to-user communications with your Consent. We may use your information in order to enable user-to-user communications with each user's consent.
To enforce our terms, conditions and policies for Business Purposes and/or for Legal Reasons.
To respond to legal requests and prevent harm for Legal Reasons. If we receive a subpoena or other legal request, we may need to inspect the data we hold to determine how to respond.
For other Business Purposes. We may use your information for other Business Purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our Sites, products, services, marketing and your experience.

In Short: We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations.

Examples include: payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, customer service and marketing efforts. We may allow selected third parties to use tracking technology on the Sites, which will enable them to collect data about how you interact with the Sites over time. This information may be used to, among other things, analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content and better understand online activity. Unless described in this Policy, we do not share, sell, rent or trade any of your information with third parties for their promotional purposes.
- Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
- Third-Party Advertisers. We may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit the Sites. How does the Software's integration with third-party software affect User Privacy?
The Software currently allows Users to access applications on their Internet connected computer, from an internet connected mobile phone and from other Internet connected devices. Users are required to log into the Software in order to access the Services. We think it's really important that Users understand how using the Software alone, and/or in conjunction with software owned by third parties ("Third Party Software") may impact their privacy.
* Accessing, Sharing, Storing and Uploading User Files – Users may use the Software to access or store almost any type of file on our servers. They may also share those files with others. Users may have a choice regarding which files and folders they backup to our servers and which (if any) other Users they provide access to those files and folders. Please be careful when sharing files that contain personal and/or sensitive information.
Do we use Google maps?
In Short: Yes, we use Google Maps for the purpose of providing better service.
By using our Maps API Implementation, you agree to be bound by Google’s Terms of Service. By using our implementation of the Google Maps APIs, you agree to allow us to gain access to information about you including personally identifiable information (such as usernames) and non-personally identifiable information (such as location). We will be collecting the following information:
- Veterinary related business, veterinary clinic, veterinarian or veterinary specialty hospital name, address, phone number, fax number
For a full list of what we use information for, please see the previous section titled " HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION? " and “WILL YOUR INFORMATION BE SHARED WITH ANYONE?” You agree to allow us to obtain or cache your location. You may revoke your consent at anytime. We use information about location in conjunction with data from other data providers.
The Maps APIs that we use store and access cookies and other information on your devices. If you are a user currently in the European Union, please take a look at our EU User Consent Policy.
Will the software transfer any of my information across international borders?
In Short: We may transfer, store, and process your information in countries other than your own.
Since you may access the Service, including any files stored, from any location from which you can connect to the Service via an internet connected device, information may be transferred across international borders.
VETOLOGY AND VETOLOGY INNOVATIONS AND ITS PARTNERS STORE AND PROCESS THE INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM USERS ON COMPUTERS IN THE UNITED STATES AND OTHER COUNTRIES IN WHICH VETOLOGY AND VETOLOGY INNOVATIONS AND ITS PARTNERS OR ITS AGENTS HAVE FACILITIES. USERS ACCEPTANCE OF THIS AGREEMENT INCLUDES USERS CONSENT TO TRANSFERS OF SUCH INFORMATION OUTSIDE USERS COUNTRY.
Our servers are located in United States. If you are accessing our Sites from outside United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed by us in our facilities and by those third parties with whom we may share your personal information (see " WILL YOUR INFORMATION BE SHARED WITH ANYONE? " above), in United States, and other countries.
EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework:
In particular Veterinary Imaging Center of San Diego, Inc dba Vetology complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union to the United States and has certified its compliance with it. As such, Veterinary Imaging Center of San Diego, Inc dba Vetology is committed to subjecting all personal information received from European Union (EU) member countries, in reliance on the Privacy Shield Framework, to the Framework’s applicable Principles. Veterinary Imaging Center of San Diego, Inc dba Vetology is responsible for the processing of personal information it receives, under the Privacy Shield Framework, and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf.
With respect to personal information received or transferred pursuant to the Privacy Shield Framework, Veterinary Imaging Center of San Diego, Inc dba Vetology is subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the U.S. FTC. In certain situations, we may be required to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
How does The Software use my information?
In general, VETOLOGY AND VETOLOGY INNOVATIONS and its partners are custodians of the data. The Software uses the information we collect from you to provide veterinarians like yourself, your staff and pet owners with the Service(s) which you have requested, to enable the functionality of the Software, to contact you about your account, to help you resolve any technical matters when you seek technical assistance and to improve the Services, Software and offerings the veterinary marketplace can provide to you. From time to time you may receive information from VETOLOGY, VETOLOGY INNOVATIONS and/or its partners about the Software and Services, about product upgrades, updates, and new products and services. As part of the Software End User License Agreement, we require that you initially accept these types of emails from us. However, you may take your name off the list for these emails at any time by following the ‘unsubscribe' directions at the bottom of every email. We may use web beacons or another electronic means to determine whether you have opened the emails that we send to you. A "web beacon" is an electronic image, also known as a clear GIF or a single-pixel (1x1), which can recognize certain types of information on an individual's computer such as an individual's cookie number, the time and date of a page view, and/or a description of the page where the web beacon is placed.
What is our stance on third-party websites?
In Short: We are not responsible for the safety of any information that you share with third-party providers who advertise, but are not affiliated with, our websites.
When can my information be disclosed to third parties?
VETOLOGY AND VETOLOGY INNOVATIONS and its partners may use third parties to process
information about you. If we do, we will require that they comply with this Privacy & Security Policy and any other appropriate privacy and security measures. VETOLOGY AND VETOLOGY INNOVATIONS and its partners may also disclose information about you to third parties when we have a good faith belief that it is necessary to do so: in response to legal process, to protect and defend VETOLOGY AND
VETOLOGY AND VETOLOGY INNOVATIONS and its partners does not sell or rent your personal information to other parties.
VETOLOGY AND VETOLOGY INNOVATIONS and its partners may use aggregated and/or normalized data for general market purpose. Data being stored by VETOLOGY AND VETOLOGY INNOVATIONS and its partners may be used by the VETOLOGY INNOVATION Network to develop, create, market and/or deliver products and services to the pet health, research or general animal industry through, but not limited to, veterinary members and pet owners.
How long do we keep your information?
What are my access and opt-out rights?
You may uninstall and delete the Software from your computer at any time. If you are a User, as part of the Software End User License Agreement, we may require that you initially accept emails from us. However, you may take your name off the list for these emails and/or choose which types of emails you'd prefer to receive at any time by following the ‘unsubscribe' directions at the bottom of every email. We will always correct your account information when you notify us. If you cancel your use of the Software or any product or service, we will delete all information except those records necessary for our legitimate business purposes.
What is your policy for Children?
In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.
We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Sites, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Sites. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you are under the age of 18, we ask that you do not download the Software or provide your personal information to us. If we become aware that a child under the age of 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete that child's information from our database.
What is your security policy?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, please also remember that we cannot guarantee that the internet itself is 100% secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Sites is at your own risk. You should only access the services within a secure environment.
The security of your information is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we have received it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. We provide certain safeguards from our end but some of the responsibility to prevent unauthorized access remains with you. If you authorize others to access your files, you are agreeing that you recognize those risks. Moreover, while most internet connected devices support SSL or other forms of secure data transmission, some mobile phones –particularly older mobile phones – do not. Users who access the Service via older mobile phones should take note of this. We strongly encourage all Users to check the operating instructions or similar documentation for their internet connected device PRIOR to using the Service.

Do California residents have specific privary rights?
In Short: Yes, if you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year.
